Erin Ellen Kelly CV

I have immense gratitude for the various artists, musicians, performers, and teachers I have encountered along the way.

I construct ways of moving, performances and ephemeral collages in gardens, galleries, warehouse spaces, gutted stores, boats, bombed out buildings, theaters and by the side of the road. Choreography is specifically designed for on-site presentation, the stage, installations, video and photographs. Often working collaboratively I explore the politics of the body and its relationship to the environment and society. I am interested in functional, ritual, and metaphorical relationships, in which internal processes are related to external structures, objects and forms. How within performance, the latent characters, animals, and natural elements that bodies have the capacity to reveal can emerge.
